Venus in Taurus:
"let's eat, let's drink, for tomorrow we die"

Upon entering Taurus, Venus returns "home", as it rules this sign. Here, its attributes may be expressed to a greater extent. Venus in Taurus finds it easier to identify with the planet's "popular" aspect. It supports, intensifies and finally pushes us to go after the satisfaction of our root needs, which are associated with the sign's earthy environment.

Our taste buds are sensitized and we enjoy each flavour more. We are easily lead to exaggerate our food intake, as we feel that "one can't have too much of a good thing". Our sense of smell works overtime and we find greater pleasure in fragrant scents, while we open up to the chemical dance of hormones, which takes two lovers to bed and our sex drive roams higher and higher. The pink planet fine-tunes our sense of hearing, and music moves us more than before. Venus in Taurus seeks security through what it can touch, smell, taste, hear.

Despite that the most materialist chords of the planet are stricken in Taurus creating a tendency towards over-consumption, greed and hypesexuality, Venus is still in its basis, a unifying planet. It tries to foster the perception of wider wholes, within and without us. When it finds itself in this earthy environment, we are encouraged to forget our existential agony and our mental, disruptive, stressful chaos, just for a moment, so that we may focus on our corporal needs and the physical dimension of our body, a dimension, which - if nothing else - we share with everything that breaths on this planet. This transit intensifies our bodily needs; through good measure, it opens the path towards the joys that we may taste through our body; through exaggeration, satisfying our physical needs becomes an end in itself, and material security is mistaken for emotional security.
